While pursuing his Bachelor of Civil and Environmental Engineering degree at UC Davis in 2021. Ryan actively participated in a range of sustainability initiatives at UC Davis Health and on campus. Before starting his Master's program at UC Davis in Energy Systems, he was the COO of Polifax Inc., where he was in charge of developing a novel platform for political discourse. In addition, Ryan was an Environmental Analyst at Kimley-Horn and Associates, where he worked on environmental planning, industrial decarbonization, energy optimization, emissions management, and CEQA/NEPA compliance.

As part of his current studies, Ryan plans to explore energy efficiency, technological optimization, and system modeling and analysis at UC Davis. His research interests reflect a desire to address complex problems using interdisciplinary approaches which range from the food-water-energy nexus and energy markets to energy access and environmental justice. Ryan is eager to create solutions that address a wide variety of complex energy challenges and promote a more sustainable future.
